Mental, creative and sensual development of the baby is an integral part of his life and upbringing, and parents should always pay maximum attention to games and developing activities with the child. Today in stores you can find a large number of various educational toys and items that help your child to learn about the world around you both visually and tactilely, but you can use your imagination and create such an educational toy with your own hands. An educational book made by hand that stimulates fine motor skills, logical thinking and imagination of a child will be of much more value for your child than the same book bought in a store.

Step 1
Think about how many pages your book will have. For a small child, you do not need to make too many pages - five or six is enough. Make the book large enough to fit all the elements on the pages and make it easy for your child to play with. The size of the book must be no less than an A4 sheet.
Step 2
Remove from the closet rags and scraps of fabrics, braid, ribbons, lace, various buttons and appliques. Such a children's book should be soft - so prepare a padding polyester for filling the pages, as well as sheets of thin plastic for the inside of the cover - this will give it rigidity.
Step 3
Decorate the cover with appliques and drawings of your own free will, write the name of the child there. Cover each page with a cloth, placing a synthetic winterizer from the inside.
Step 4
Place a pre-designed developmental element on each page - it can be any thing that will interest and amuse the child. Sew a large zippered pocket to the first page, and inside, put several bright fabric bags filled with various contents - cereals, beans, beads, pebbles, and other bulk materials that will help your child develop tactile sensations.
Step 5
Weave several woolen laces and sew them on the pages of the book in different places - string buttons, beads, shells and other small objects on them that the child will touch and study.
Step 6
On one of the pages, you can come up with an interesting game for the child - for example, embroider a village courtyard or vegetable garden on fabric. Separately prepare purchased or homemade applications in the form of household items, fruits or vegetables.
Step 7
Attach the Velcro to them, and choose the materials on the page so that the Velcro can stick to them. Separately make a place on the page where all removable items should be "stored". The child will be able to take them out and glue them to any place on the page, and then peel them off and change their position.
Step 8
Separately design the page with the flower bed - make fabric flowers with petals of different shades. Use fabrics of different types and textures for the petals. Embroider on the page butterflies, animals and birds. For leaves, stems and flower centers, choose materials that have a different feel.
Step 9
Separately make the page in the form of an aquarium - create an imitation of water from cellophane or a packaging bag. Cut or sketch fish and marine life from a magazine, tie them with elastic bands or laces, and attach to the top of the page.
Step 10
Imagine - in the educational book you can place any objects with which the child will be interested in playing. It can be houses with opening doors, and boxes with interesting contents, and garlands of beads and tassels, and lacing - everything that will help the creative and mental development of the baby.
