Old books are invaluable material of the past, prompting the desire to discover age-old secrets. Passing the test of time, they turn into expensive items. However, you can deceive time itself and make an antique book. And believe me, it's not that hard.

It is necessary

  • - PVA glue;
  • - unnecessary book;
  • - stain;
  • - a container with water;
  • - brush;
  • - paint of gold or copper color;
  • - a blank sheet of paper;
  • - wallpaper or fabric for the cover;
  • - old photos.

Instructions

Step 1

Use old books, hardcover notebooks, textbooks. Turn on your imagination. Place a container of water in front of you. Wet your hands and crease each sheet, as if making an accordion out of it. Divide the "book" into 2 equal parts and start wrinkling from the very end to the middle. You must do the same with the second part. Let the paper dry, leave it alone for a day.

Step 2

Dilute the PVA glue with water, just not too liquid so that you can glue the pages. Start sculpting a "sculpture" from the leaves, gluing them together. Give the book the look of an old manuscript. There is no need to rush. Let the book dry again.

Step 3

Take the stain and dilute it with water to a suitable color and gently paint over the sides and leaves from above with a brush, as if aging them. Then, when everything is dry, apply a gold or copper-colored paint with a brush. Everything will depend on your imagination, what the cover and color of the sheets will be.

Step 4

Use a blank sheet of paper that matches the format of the book. Fold it in half and glue it in the middle until it is wrinkled. Then you can make decoupage on this piece of paper, glue old photos. The cover can be made from wallpaper, fabric, thick paper. It all depends on your ingenuity.
