The herbal sachet can be placed in bed linen to create a pleasant scent. It is also a nice souvenir that can be attached to a gift or given just like that.
It is very easy to make the simplest fragrant sachet with your own hands. In order to make a sachet, you will need an organza rectangle (about 25-35 cm by 10 cm), a ribbon or braid (3 to 10 mm wide, about 15-25 cm long), beads and other decor, dried flowers, aromatic oil.
The procedure for making a sachet:
1. Sew an organza bag. Its size depends on the number of dried flowers available. The upper part of the bag must be tucked in such a way as to thread the tape or braid. You can also not thread the ribbon, but simply tie it over the pouch.
2. Stuff the bag with dried flowers. Beforehand, you can drop 2-3 drops of any aromatic oil on them.
3. Tie the bag with a ribbon more tightly, making a nice bow. Decorate the bag with glue rhinestones, beads, ready-made small fabric flowers.
How to stuff a sachet?
There are many options. For example, rose petals are an excellent choice for stuffing sachets. But dried flowers are not the only option for sachet padding. Use options such as coffee, finely chopped and well-dried citrus peels (make a mixture of lemon and orange peels and other citrus fruits). You can also fill the fragrant sachet with coarse sea salt, talcum powder, rice, small sawdust, soaking them in advance with any aromatic oil.
Useful advice: you can sew a sachet not only from organza, if you use a fine filler, it is better to choose a denser, opaque fabric.
