The aromatic sachet helps to fight unpleasant odors in the apartment, in the wardrobe, drawers and shelves. Fragrant herbs and flower petals will fill the house with pleasant smells and remind you of summer.

It is necessary

  • - aromatic herbs;
  • - flower petals;
  • - cotton fabric;
  • - ribbons, braid, lace.

Instructions

Step 1

On a sunny day, collect flower buds, petals, and scented herbs. For making sachets, mint, lavender, monarda, oregano, alissum, rose petals, that is, plants that have a pleasant and strong aroma, are suitable.

Step 2

Tie the plants into bunches and hang them with flowers and leaves facing down in a dry, well-ventilated area. This can be a pantry, a veranda or a dressing room. Arrange buds and petals on a wire rack covered with a layer of gauze and leave for several weeks.

Step 3

There is also a quicker way to dry your plants without losing their aroma. Place them on a plate and microwave for a few minutes. Then remove the dishes, turn the plants over and put them back in the oven. Determine the number of minutes empirically. It is important not to dry out fragrant herbs and flowers. Then put them in a dry, clean glass jar, close the lid tightly and place in a dark place for 1-2 weeks.

Step 4

Sew pads or bags together. Make them from cotton fabric: linen, chintz or calico. Cut out 2 equal squares or rectangles. Fold the top side over and sew by hand or with a sewing machine (if you are sewing a pillow, you can skip this step). Then fold the right sides in and sew 3 sides. Turn the pouch right over and stuff with dry aromatic herbs or petals. Tie the bag with a nice ribbon or braid.
