How pleasant it is to fill your home with natural scents. Dried herbs or other natural ingredients such as coffee beans can be used. For these purposes, it is very easy to sew a sachet yourself, in other words, a bag - a flavoring agent.

It is necessary

A piece of natural fabric (linen), or canvas for embroidery (preferably linen), colored embroidery thread, needle, lace or thin satin ribbon

Instructions

Step 1

Cut out a rectangle from a piece of fabric or canvas with a width equal to the width of the desired size of the finished bag - a sachet, and a length equal to two heights of the finished bag, plus one to two centimeters for seam allowances on each side. If the edges of the fabric are susceptible to shedding, then add a couple more centimeters for the seam allowances (then the seams will be folded, i.e. the fabric cut is stitched inward).

Step 2

If you want to decorate the sachet with embroidery, then before stitching the edges of the bag you need to embroider the corresponding part of the cut out sachet. You can embroider either a single flower or any other image of your choice and of a suitable size. You can, for example, embroider coffee beans for a bag later filled with coffee beans.

Step 3

After you have done the embroidery, fold the resulting rectangular piece of fabric with the right side inward so that the fold of the fabric forms the bottom of the bag. Sew the side seams (if the fabric is frayed, then sew the side edges with a hem seam).

Step 4

The top of the bag can be stitched with a hem, or you can remove several upper threads with a needle, forming a fringe. You can additionally decorate (and strengthen) the top edge of the bag by sewing a thin satin or lace ribbon along the edge to match the main fabric.

Step 5

You can use a thin lace or satin ribbon as a tie. To make the knotted bag look more beautiful, make the lace at a distance of 1, 5 - 2 centimeters down from the top edge of the sachet. For a lace, at the same distance from each other around the circumference of the bag, use a needle to move the threads of the fabric apart, forming small holes. Insert a lace into the holes obtained with a snake. Place a filler made from dried herbs, flowers or coffee beans into the resulting bag. Tie the free ends of the lace at your discretion with a knot - a loop or decorate with a beautiful bow. You can hang the finished bag by the loop, or you can place it on the shelf with things.
