The last row when knitting is perhaps the most important and most decisive, because if you leave it loose, you risk losing your product, as it will simply be dissolved. Fasten the last row, that is, close its loops, possibly in several ways, depending on the knitting pattern.
Instructions
Step 1
The first method is to knit braids along the edge. Knit by the back threads, combining the hem and the first stitches into one knit, thus obtaining one stitch.
Step 2
Transfer the resulting loop from one (right) knitting needle to the other (left). Knit it by the back threads, knit together with the next loop. Work in a similar fashion to the end of the row.
Step 3
Break the thread when one loop remains on the needle. In this case, 4-5 cm should be left from the edge of the thread. Make a loop and tighten it.
Step 4
The second way is to knit a stretch braid. Usually used for rubber bands. Remove the hem on the right knitting needle.
Step 5
Tie the second loop. Depending on the selected pattern, knit or purl so that two loops are already formed on the right knitting needle. Insert the left knitting needle into the stitch you removed.
Step 6
Pull out the loop a little and pull the second through it. Knit all subsequent loops to the end of the row like the first and second, that is, in such a way that each next loop is pulled through the previous one on the right knitting needle.
Step 7
Break off the thread when one loop remains on the left knitting needle, leaving about 4 cm to the tip. Insert the thread into the loop and tighten.
Step 8
The third way is with a needle. Cut off the warp thread so that it is three times the length of the row to be closed. Tie the last few rows (5-6) in open loops with an additional thread. Remove the knitting needles from the hinges.
Step 9
Iron your edge through a damp cloth. Unfasten the rows knitted with additional thread.
Step 10
Thread the remaining warp into the large eyelet needle. Sew along your open stitches. In this case, the product should be held with its front side facing you.
