In order to finish crocheting, you need to properly fasten the loop of the last row of work. If the product is knitted, there are also special techniques for processing the last loops.
It is necessary
- - hook;
- - knitting needles
Instructions
Step 1
If you crocheted the product, cut off the working thread with scissors, leave a margin of about 5 cm. Crochet the working thread lengthwise from the last knitting loop. Remove the hook and pull on the end of the thread, thus tightening the last loop. Be sure to thread the rest of the thread so that the tail does not straighten out when washing the product. To do this, pull the end of the thread several times through the loops along the edge or on the wrong side of the product. If, after the broaches, the end of the thread still protrudes, cut it off without unnecessary fear.
Step 2
If you knitted a thing with knitting needles, then many last loops are formed here, in contrast to crocheting. To finish them, pull one loop through the other. On the details connected with the front stitch, knit the first edge and the second front loop with the front one, then pull the first loop through the second, then knit only one loop in succession, through each obtained one pull the previous one. Repeat this technique until all the stitches of the last row have been knitted. Cut the thread and pull the end through the last loop. Make sure that the edge of the product is not tightened.
Step 3
Use the second method of sequentially knitting two stitches together. Knit an edge loop by joining it with the first knit one. The right knitting needle will have one loop. Transfer it to the left knitting needle, and again knit together with the next loop. Repeat this technique until you have closed all the loops in the last row. Pull the end of the cut thread through the last loop and secure it.
Step 4
Knit two purl stitches together if you need to close the last stitches on the wrong side. Transfer the loop formed on the right knitting needle to the left one. To do this, throw the working thread over the knitting needle, and then move the loop from the right knitting needle to the left knitting needle. Knit two stitches together again, purl, etc., until all stitches on the knitting needle are closed.
Step 5
Close the loops of the last row in products tied with elastic bands according to the pattern, i.e. knit in two loops, then the front one, then the purl one. If the second stitch is front, knit two stitches on the front, and if the second one is knit, knit two together with the wrong one.
