Instructions
Step 1
Knit horizontal stripes if you're just starting out with two-tone knitting. Knit the required number of rows with a thread of the same color. Place the ball in a zippered plastic bag.
Step 2
Start knitting with a thread of a different color, after completing the horizontal strip, put the ball into a bag. Cross the threads from the side of the fabric and knit the next strip. Alternate horizontal stripes of different colors until you get the desired pattern.
Step 3
For wide vertical stripes, use a separate tangle for each stripe. At the border of the stripes, cross the threads, make sure that the canvas does not shrink and, conversely, does not diverge. Keep the balls in a plastic envelope, cut a hole for each thread.
Step 4
Knit jacquard patterns with the front satin stitch, leaving the thread of a different color at work. When knitting a pattern, strictly follow the selected pattern. As a result of painstaking work, your product will turn out to be warmer due to the second layer, which is formed by free threads.
Step 5
Leave enough thread and pre-press it with your finger so that the jumpers on the wrong side of the jacquard pattern do not sag or pinch the fabric. If necessary, interweave the free and working threads additionally if the distance between the patterns is more than 3 loops.
Step 6
Tie narrow vertical stripes and small squares in the same way. When sewing the front surface, knit with two threads, alternating colors and leaving the unused thread to work. Knit purl rows, skipping a free thread before work.
Step 7
To knit large squares from two threads, use the technique of knitting each piece with a thread from a separate ball. Alternate the colors horizontally in a checkerboard pattern. Remember to intertwine at the end of the rows.
