The flying sun skirt looks great on any figure and goes well with tight-fitting things. Sewing it is not difficult. The pattern is a semicircle or circle. It is only necessary to correctly calculate the inner circle. The main difficulty when sewing is that it is not always possible to achieve an even bottom edge, because part of the product is cut obliquely, but this is easily fixable.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a light summer fabric for sewing, you can flow. Then the folds will fit beautifully. Depending on the width of the fabric, a model is sewn without seams or with two seams. Before sewing, wash the fabric in warm water and iron it to avoid shrinkage of the finished garment.

Step 2

Determine the desired length of the skirt and build a pattern. To do this, take two measurements: the length of the finished skirt and the girth of the waist. Fold a sheet of paper in half to make a square with a side of 75 centimeters. In the corner where there is a fold, measure the first radius, which is calculated using the following formula: divide the waist circumference by 6 and subtract 1 cm. In the finished product, this will be a belt.

Step 3

Measure evenly from the first to the second, larger radius, to the length of the finished product. As a result, you will get a pattern that looks like a half of a donut. This is one piece of skirt. If the width of the fabric allows you to cut the product without seams, then fold the material in half. Place a pattern in place of the fold, circle and, retreating from the edge of the pattern, two centimeters in the belt and two or three centimeters along the bottom of the product, cut it out. If the fabric is narrow, then spread the material in one layer. Circle one half of the skirt with the following indents: one to one and a half centimeters for the side seams, two for the seam at the waist, and two to three centimeters for the hem at the bottom. Draw the other half next to it, with the same seam allowances. To save fabric, turn the second pattern 180 degrees and attach it close to the first half. Cut out two pieces of skirt, sweep and stitch along the side seams.

Step 4

Fold up the fabric left on the seam in the waistband, sew it and insert the elastic. Then wear the product to align the bottom of the skirt. Measure the same distance from the floor to the bottom edge, trim with scissors, fold and sew. If necessary, starch and iron the finished skirt.
