Instructions

Step 1

Take a piece of lightweight jersey. Make a pattern for the shirt - a rectangular front and a rectangular back of the same size. In terms of width and length, the details should correspond to the measurements of your figure.

Step 2

Separately cut out and cut out two long rectangles 10x50 centimeters. Fold each lengthwise and sew on a sewing machine.

Step 3

Turn out the resulting long stripes - you have made blanks for the straps of the future top. Press the straps to keep the seams straight.

Step 4

Then cut out from the fabric a blank for the future bow of ruffles - cut from the same jersey from which you sew the top, two meters of narrow (no more than 10 cm) strips of fabric. Sew the stripes into one narrow, long piece of fabric.

Step 5

Hem and hem the top and bottom of the front of the top. Sew on the wrong side of the two straps at one end. The other end of each strap will remain for the back, which you will sew on later.

Step 6

On the front side of the top, start forming a flower from the cut out long strip of fabric. To do this, fold the strip in half lengthwise and, making small gathers, lay it on the front part of the top in a spiral to form a flower shape.

Step 7

Use sewing pins to fix the folds in the fabric. Each circle, fixed with pins, sew on a sewing machine, then the pins can be taken out - start laying the next circle, which also sew on a typewriter. Continue until you have tucked the entire strip into a neat pleated spiral.

Step 8

Sew and hem the back of the shirt. Determine which length of the straps will work for you, and according to this length, sew the remaining ends of the straps to the back from the wrong side. Trim any excess and process the remaining edges.

Step 9

Sew the side seams on the inside of the shirt, then turn it inside out. Your original summer accessory is ready.
