"Madagascar-4" is one of the most anticipated by fans of the cartoon genre. And this is no coincidence. Surprisingly, even for the third picture, the creators managed not to lose either lightness or sparkling humor.
About the franchise
Today there are three wonderful cartoons called "Madagascar". All three parts were huge box office success, and the first of them ranks 26th on the list of the highest grossing cartoons of all time. The second and third parts grossed $ 600 million each.
This is the story of a company of animals from the New York zoo. The leader of the company is the narcissistic lion Alex, who adores working for the public. His best friend is the dreamy and at the same time overly chatty zebra Marty. Another companion of Alex is the sad giraffe Melman, suffering from a million imaginary ailments and at the same time from unrequited love for the hippopotamus Gloria. Gloria, on the other hand, is a cheerful and upbeat laugh. The whole company was completely happy with life at the zoo. But one day Marty met a group of enterprising penguins who created an ingenious escape plan, and he also began to dream of a never seen homeland …
In the first cartoon, animals from the zoo accidentally end up on the island of Madagascar. In the second, it is no less accidental that he brings them home - to Africa, where each of the characters will have to meet his family and decide what is most important for him in life. In the third film, the heroes have a chance to visit Monte Carlo and travel with a traveling circus. And, of course, in each of the adventures, penguins will play a special role - the very ones that each time disturb the calm flow of life, which has just begun to improve.
It is interesting that the cartoons of the franchise were banned for a long time on the island of Madagascar, since King Julian resembled one or another Madagascar politician.
By the way, it was after the release of the first "Madagascar" that the neologism "mimimi" became popular.
New cartoon
Studio DreamWorks Animation has not yet announced an official release date for the fourth "Madagascar", but fans are already in full swing discussing the future premiere. Of course, the success of all three previous parts could not but prompted thoughts of a sequel - including the creators of the franchise.
In one of his interviews, DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg stated that no one plans to freeze profitable projects. Therefore, the creation of "Madagascar-4" is not ruled out. In 2012, it was announced that a company of penguins would be at the center of the new storyline. The cartoon is scheduled for release in 2015. More precise dates will appear closer to the premiere.
