Step 1
Cast on 36 loops on the stocking needles and tie with an elastic band 2x2 10 cm.
Distribute the stitches as follows: Purl 4, Braid 12, Purl 20. The first 20 loops are the back, the rest are the palm. Continue knitting in the pattern up to the thumb.
Step 2
To make a thumb hole, peel off 6 sts on a pin and cast 6 sts on a knitting needle.
Continue knitting down to your fingertips.
Step 3
Decreasing the loops of the mitten toe:
At the end of the 2nd and 4th knitting needles, knit two loops together with the front one, behind the front wall of the loops.
First, the 1st and 3rd knitting needles - two together front, behind the back wall of the loops.
Continue decreasing until there are 2-3 loops on the needles. Tie them together and close.
Step 4
Knitting the thumb:
Put the loops from the pin on the knitting needle. Cast on the loops from above. Cast on 2 loops on the sides.
Continue knitting in a circle. Having knitted to the desired length, evenly reduce the loops. Close the remaining 2-3 loops.
