In the fairy tale, the kolobok has neither arms, nor legs, nor even a torso. It's just a ball of dough that rolls along the path, meets different animals and sings songs to them. For a puppet theater, just such a bun is needed, and you can make it from an ordinary ball. But for a role-playing game or a performance where real actors play, you need a costume that would create the desired image, but at the same time would not restrict movement. You can make it out of yellow fabric.
Round vest
The fabric needs to be lightweight, opaque and well draped. Yellow fleece is more suitable than others. To sew a round vest, you will also need:
- padding polyester with quilted lining;
- polyethylene tape;
- paper;
- pencil;
- sewing accessories.
Take measurements. You need to know the length of the vest from the neck to the hip line and the circumference of the waist. Multiply both measurements by 2. Draw a rectangle using these measurements. The vest should be convex, so undercuts will be needed. Divide the short sides in half and connect the marks. Divide the long sides into 3 equal parts, connect the points lying opposite each other. Along these lines, mark the grooves on the right and left, above and below. Cut out 2 pieces of padding polyester. Sew both pieces together to create a sleeveless jacket, that is, leave holes for the head and hands.
Try on a vest, adjust it to your figure, outline the lines along which the plastic tape will be sewn. Stitch on the tape. You can buy it, and sometimes even just ask, you can, for example, in a furniture store. The inner layer is ready. Cut out the upper part of the vest, fit along the inner layer, grind the undercuts. Make drawstrings at the top and bottom, insert an elastic band. It is not necessary to stitch the layers together. By the same principle, you can sew a round vest for other characters, for example, for an ordinary turtle or teenage mutant ninja turtles.
Wear a yellow T-shirt or turtleneck under the vest. On the vest itself, you can make the face of a kolobok - an applique.
Beanie
Sew a hat out of yellow fabric. A round skullcap is most suitable. It is better to sew from cotton or linen fabric. The hat needs to be decorated with pigtails - spikelets. They can be crocheted from very thick yarn or yellow synthetic twine, or woven from strips of fabric. Sew a long braid along the bottom of the hat, and the short ones should hang down. A headdress can also be made of paper, and not necessarily in the form of a hat. A yellow paper shelf with a spikelet painted on it is enough.
You can limit yourself to one long thick braid sewn around the perimeter of the cap.
Lapti
The gingerbread man is a villager, and his shoes must be appropriate. Weaving real bast shoes is a rather long process and requires some skills. Therefore, weave or knit a long yellow pigtail. Sew the shoe covers, and spiral the pigtail onto the top surface. Layers should lie close to each other so that there are no gaps. The suit is ready, it remains to choose the matching tights or elastic cycling pants.
