A tablet is not a cheap thing, so a case for it is a must, because it is this accessory that is able to protect the device from shocks and scratches. If you want to have a unique case at your disposal, then try to make it yourself at home.

It is necessary

  • - thick cardboard;
  • - dense felt;
  • - a piece of cloth;
  • - glue;
  • - elastic band;
  • - two buttons (the diameter of which is 0, 5 and 1 centimeter);
  • - threads with a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

Pick up the tablet for which you are going to make a case. Place the device on a piece of cardboard, trace around it with a pencil, then carefully cut the resulting rectangle. Make another rectangle in the same way. Trim all sides of the blanks with a clerical knife, then carefully cut the corners of the cardboard rectangles (make them rounded).

Step 2

Place a piece of thick felt in front of you (the color is not important, you can choose it at your discretion), then put the tablet in it, fold the other edge of the felt over the device and mark the places on the material that you want to cut. Trim, leaving an allowance of about 0.4-0.5 centimeters. Round the corners of the resulting rectangle slightly.

Cut off two centimeters of elastic, make a loop, then sew to the front side of the front and back of the cut-out felt buttons (to the front front - a large button, and to the front back - a small one, while sewing the loop).

Step 3

Take the cardboard blanks in your hands, lay them on the fabric and trace with a simple pencil. Add about a centimeter for each edge and trim.

Step 4

Glue the fabric to the cardboard blanks with the right side up, being careful not to leave any creases. Gently fold the allowances onto the wrong side of the cardboard and secure them as tightly as possible with the same glue.

Step 5

Cut off three pieces of elastic. The length of the two elastic bands should be equal to the width of the cardboard blank, and the length of the other should be five centimeters longer. Place a large elastic band on the front side of the cardboard blank across, stepping back from the top edge about two centimeters, bend the cuts to the wrong side and glue them. Place the other two elastic bands on the lower corners of the cardboard blank, bend the cuts to the wrong side and glue them.

Step 6

Next, collect all the blanks in a single case. To do this, put the felt blank in front of you face down, grease the wrong sides of the cardboard blanks with glue and carefully glue them to the felt, retreating all the previously marked allowances. The tablet case is ready.
