It is necessary

  • - 300 g of yarn;
  • - knitting needles number 2, 5 and 3;
  • - stocking or circular needles No. 2, 5 and 3.

Instructions

Step 1

Cast on 80 stitches on the needles and knit 3-5 centimeters with 1x1 or 2x2 elastic. In order to prevent it from stretching while wearing, knit the elastic very tightly.

Step 2

Having knitted the required size of the elastic, knit one row with purl loops from the front side and knit again with a 1x1 or 2x2 elastic. Thus, the bezel will be double, and, therefore, the hat will turn out to be more voluminous and warmer.

Step 3

In the last row of elastic, add 45 stitches evenly (for a total of 125 stitches). Next, knit with a fantasy pattern. Please note that the number of loops must be a multiple of the pattern repeat.

Step 4

At a height of twenty centimeters, knit with purl stitch, while in each front row, first subtract every tenth and eleventh loop, and then every sixth and seventh, then the third and fourth. Finally, knit every two stitches together. Pull off the remaining loops, fasten the thread.

Step 5

Fold the part in half and sew a seam by hand or stitch on a sewing machine.

Step 6

Another way in which the product will turn out without a seam. To do this, you need the same size knitting needles. Cast on 80 stitches on the stocking needles. In the second row, distribute them into four (twenty loops for each knitting needle), close the loops in a circle and knit with a circular elastic band by an amount of three centimeters.

Step 7

Next, proceed to knitting the main pattern, evenly adding 16 loops (as a result, you should have 96 loops on the knitting needles). If you are not comfortable with knitting such a large fabric on stocking needles, then you can switch to circular knitting needles.

Step 8

After twenty-three centimeters of the main pattern, start knitting the bottom. To do this, knit with the front stitch, while simultaneously performing subtractions in each even row. In the second round, knit two knit stitches together, then knit two, and knit two together again, and knit two. Continue knitting this way to the end of the row. Make the same reductions in the fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth rounds. Pull the remaining loops tight with a working thread. The beret is ready.
