A rastaman beret can be a great addition to a bright, slightly casual reggae style look. Its production does not take much time, but the result will surpass all expectations. Beret can be crocheted or knitted.

Step 1
First you need to purchase yarn from which the beret will be knitted. In terms of thickness and quality, these can be completely different threads - it all depends on your taste. Special attention should only be paid to the choice of colors. Traditional "rastaman" shades are bright yellow, light green or green, rich red and black. It is also not forbidden to use other colors, but they should not be the main ones.
Step 2
If you are good at crocheting (although basic knowledge is also quite enough), it will not be difficult for you to knit the product with it. It's extremely simple. First, type 3-4 air loops, connect them. Taking the resulting "circle" as a basis, tie it with single crochets (there should be from 10 to 12 of them). Continue tying the circle, adding a few stitches in each row. Change the thread every 5-6 rows, alternating colors.
Step 3
As soon as the circle becomes the desired size (diameter) 35-40 centimeters, finish adding loops and continue knitting. When you knit another 10-15 rows in this way, start decreasing the loops. When the product is almost ready, complete it by knitting a row of single crochet stitches with one or two instead of a row of single crochets.
Step 4
It is also easy to knit beret on the needles. The only difference is that it is more convenient to start the product not from the top, but from the bottom. Cast on circular needles 75-100 loops (depending on the size of the head and the density of the knit) and knit 15-20 rows with a dense elastic band.
Step 5
Then knit another 30-40 rows, adding 3 loops in each (do not forget to change the thread). When you have completed all the previous steps, start decreasing in each row, first by 9, then by 6 loops. The beret is ready.
