If you decide to knit a hat for yourself, then it is best to choose a classic, but fashionable at all times option - a beret. With your own hands, you can make it unique, original, in general, give free rein to your imagination. And believe me, no one will have such a headdress. Of course, you can decorate it with all kinds of beads or make a lace pattern, everything is only in your hands.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the color of the yarn from which the beret will be knitted. It should blend in harmoniously with all outerwear in your wardrobe, and most importantly, complete your look.
Step 2
Measure the volume of the head and calculate the required amount of yarn in order to knit the beret. Make a diagram, then you will know exactly where to add or subtract loops.
Step 3
Select knitting needles. It is advisable to take knitting needles number 8 for knitting this headdress. Do not forget to prepare a special needle for wool and an ordinary sewing needle, as well as an ordinary sewing thread to match the color of your yarn.
Step 4
Determine for yourself the density of knitting and the pattern of the future beret.
Type the required number of loops on the knitting needles, and then, adhering to the scheme, add or decrease the number of loops. Do not forget that starting from the fifth row, all odd rows are tied with purl loops.
Step 5
Knit the top of the beret, then tear off the thread from the ball, then sew all the loops with it, while pulling tight and fasten with a knot.
Step 6
Assemble the product, make a neat, barely noticeable seam in the back and decorate the headpiece with beads or lace in the form of an applique.
Step 7
Wash the garment in lukewarm water and lay out to dry, sculpting it to the desired shape.
Step 8
After the beret is dry, you can wear it.
