Such a necessary attribute for water procedures as a washcloth is easy to make on your own in one evening. At the same time, an economical hostess can do without additional costs. Balls of synthetic threads, cords, string bags, cloth trimmings will be used. A convenient version of the product is a wide fingerless mitten, which is pulled over the hand while washing in the bathroom or bath. Try crocheting it into a hollow rectangle.
It is necessary
- - hook number 5;
- - working thread (nylon, flax, sisal, etc.);
- - knitted fabric;
- - cotton threads;
- - needle;
- - overlock;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the right material for knitting a washcloth mitten. Depending on the structure of the working thread, the product will turn out to be more or less rigid - it all depends on your preferences.
Step 2
You can knit a soft and fluffy loofah-mitten from a colored nylon thread. A bath accessory of medium hardness will come out of a linen or sisal cord, as well as a long nylon tape no more than a centimeter wide. You can use old vegetable nets - to get a zigzag thread, the bags are cut in a spiral. Finally, a skein of synthetic rope will be used - the toughest homemade washcloths are made from it.
Step 3
It is recommended to knit the product with a coarse knit, without tightening the loops too much, so that the texture of the fabric turns out to be quite loose. The optimal tool for this job is hook # 5.
Step 4
From the chosen thread, make 25-30 stitches and try on the chain on the wrist. The scrubbing mitten should be free to hold on your hand, but not fall off it. For the lower edge, you can provide a cuff made of knitted fabric - this will pull the product a little.
Step 5
If the length of the air chain suits you, make a connecting half-column in its first loop - you get a circle. Next, knit the loofah in continuous circular rows of single crochet stitches. To climb to the next row, at the beginning of each new lap, you must perform one air loop.
Step 6
When the hollow double sheet reaches the desired height, join the upper parts of the product. Insert the bar of the hook through every two posts (bottom and top) and make half-posts to connect the entire top of the washcloth.
Step 7
Cut the working thread and pull the end of it to the inside of the mitten. If you wish, you can cut out a knitted strip for the cuff: length - according to the perimeter of the lower part of the product plus 1.5 cm for the connecting seam; width - about 8-9 cm.
Step 8
Fold the strip with the wrong side of the top and sew on the side into a ring. Then unscrew the cuff, fold it in half and overcast the edges by hand or overlock. Baste the edge of the part to the mitten and carefully sew it to the washcloth with a thread of a suitable tone.
Step 9
Remove the basting. For convenience, you can sew a loop to the finished product, then the bath accessory can be hung on the hanger of the bathroom or dressing room.
