As the proverb says: "Keep your head cold, your stomach hungry, and your feet warm!" Our legs require careful handling. As one of the manifestations of caring for them, home boots will create a feeling of warmth and comfort. Having asked this question, it is very easy to implement it. It is necessary

Double-sided quilted synthetic winterizer of the required thickness, bias tape, matching threads, a piece of Velcro, scissors, a sewing machine, cardboard and a pen

Instructions

Step 1

Having decided on the size of the boots, cut out the sole of the boot on the right foot on a sheet of cardboard. The sole of the boot on the left foot will be cut out in the mirror image on the fabric.

Step 2

Based on the size of the sole, make a pattern for the top of the boots on a sheet of cardboard. The ankle part of the pattern can be increased or decreased in size depending on the desired fit for the leg. Considering the size of the ankle, calculate the length of the tongue of the boot. Finished parts of the pattern can be connected to each other along the boundaries of sewing parts to check the correctness of the dimensions. If necessary, the size of the pattern can be adjusted even before cutting out on the fabric.

Step 3

The details of the pattern are laid out, taking into account the shared thread and patterns on the fabric, so that 2 details of the sole turn out in a mirror image (on the right and left legs), and the details of the top turn out with a fold in the amount of 2 pieces. Tongues of boots are also cut out in the amount of 2 pieces. For seam allowances, leave 1, 5 cm on each side of all parts. Cut out all the parts.

Step 4

Sew the nose of each boot on a sewing machine, folding the parts right side to each other. Iron the edges of the seams from the seamy side.

Sew the rest of the details by folding the wrong sides of the fabric to each other. These seams can be sewn separately at first, and then processed with a bias tape. And you can immediately sew with an oblique inlay, having previously swept them away on your hands.

Step 5

It is convenient to choose the following sequence of stitching the details of the boot: first, process the upper cuts of the tongues with an oblique inlay. Then attach the tabs to the details of the top of the boots, while capturing the top edge of the cuffs. Thus, sewing the tongue to the boot with the same oblique inlay, the upper edge of the boot is also processed in a circle.

Step 6

The prepared top of the boot is aligned along the longitudinal centerline of the sole and is attached in a circle in the same way.

Step 7

Cut out 2 strap parts from the fabric. Sew them on a typewriter. Attach a piece of Velcro to one of the edges of each strap. Attach the second part of the Velcro to the corresponding part of the top of the boot. Sew the straps themselves to the top of the boot in accordance with the fastener.
