Wool is a multifaceted material in terms of properties and capabilities; it can be used to make both a tiny toy and cozy socks that will become a fashionable and practical gift for loved ones. Socks can be made of any size, length, color, complemented with lace, embroidery, ribbons. The main thing is that your child's legs will be warm and cared for.
It is necessary
- - 40 g of wool;
- - ruler;
- - laundry soap;
- - mosquito net (tulle);
- - air bubble film (2 pieces - 50 * 50 cm);
- - rolling pin;
- - sponge;
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare a soapy solution. Rub a bar of soap on a grater coarsely, pour 2 liters of boiling water. Stir periodically until the soap is completely dissolved, leave to infuse for about 2 hours, the solution should thicken.
Step 2
Make 2 sock templates out of the foil. Start spreading the wool over the top of the bootleg.
Step 3
In the process, pay attention to the thickness of the strands, the direction and position of the hands. From the middle of the shin, continue spreading the dark shade until you have covered the entire area of the pattern.
Step 4
When laying out the second layer, place light pink curls vertically, and dark ones at an angle of 90 °. Also, run another row of yarn along the bottom border perpendicular to the hem.
Step 5
Cover the workpiece with tulle (net) and moisten the fur with a sponge (through the tulle) with warm soapy water. Continue ironing for about 1 minute.
Step 6
Remove the mesh, bend the top edge 1 cm, fix by smoothing the fur vertically. Now cover the part with bubble wrap, turn it over to the other side so that the film is on the bottom.
Step 7
Fold all the protruding wool onto the mold, straighten out any folds and grooves. Repeat the steps above, laying out the light pink yarn first, then the dark one. After covering with a second layer, repeat the procedure of the operation with the mesh, blotting the workpiece with soapy water.
Step 8
Covering with bubble wrap, roll the rolling pin with light pressure in 2 directions. Perform the rolling action with a rolling pin on the other side. Subsequently, having screwed the product onto a rolling pin, roll the "roll" with movements "from you to yourself" about 10 times. Repeat this step four times in different directions: from above, from the heel, from the sole.
Step 9
Remove the film, carefully iron the wool along the edge. Add a little soap to slide your hands over the object to be treated. Similarly, repeat the operation on the other side, turning the semi-finished product over.
Step 10
Remove the template, put the future sock on your hand and go through all the folds, smoothing out all kinds of folds. Stretch the product slowly during the procedure, if necessary.
Step 11
Repeat the ironing steps, but without the rolling pin, twist the roll 50 times. Consecutively roll the sock into a tube in 4 directions and roll it over the table 30 times on each side. Straighten the edges regularly. Gradually the yarn will begin to shrink. Make a second sock.
Step 12
At the final stage, check the size of the sock with a ruler and achieve the required value by the following steps: remember the product a little, knead like dough, twist like a ball, rub on the film.
Step 13
Then straighten, rinse thoroughly so that no soap remains. Squeeze without twisting. Form the socks, trying on the leg, leave to dry. Decorate ready-made socks as you like.
