In order to sew home warm slippers with your own hands, trims of any fur can be used: artificial, natural, with long or short nap. In addition to fur, you will need small patches of leather or thick fabric to cut the soles and decorative elements to decorate the finished product.

The simplest fur slippers are sewn in the form of slippers: the foot is placed on a sheet of cardboard and outlined with a pencil. A sheet of tracing paper or any other thin paper is placed on top of the foot and a slightly elongated hemisphere is drawn, which is the upper part of the slippers. If you have old slippers on hand, they can be ripped open and used as a more accurate pattern.

Two soles are cut out of patches of leather or any other dense material. It is important to correctly position the cardboard pattern so that the cut parts do not end up on one leg. On the seamy side of the fur, the contours of all parts are drawn, taking into account 1-2 cm of seam allowances and carefully cut out. When working with real fur, it is best to use a razor blade, cutting only the flesh and not touching the pile.

When cutting natural fur, it is necessary to arrange it in such a way that the direction of the pile on all parts of the slippers coincides.

The fur insole is carefully stitched to the sole, after which the upper part is sewn to the workpiece. It is better to connect parts manually, because the machine seam may be too stiff and too rough. When sewing parts made of long-piled fur, the seam must be laid in such a way that the villi do not fall between the threads - otherwise the finished product will look sloppy and ugly.

If the top of the slippers is not rigid enough and does not hold its shape, then from the inside it is reinforced with inserts of dense fabric: additional details are cut out according to the existing pattern, the fur and fabric are folded with the front sides inward, sewn together and turned inside out. After that, the top of the flip-flops is connected to its sole. The finished product is decorated with beads, textile flowers, fur pom-poms.

For sewing fur slippers that cover the foot and its sides, you will need a more complex pattern for the upper part of the product. A sheet of tracing paper or baking paper is applied to the leg and a side detail is drawn, resembling the shape of a boot. For each slipper, two symmetrical parts of the top should be cut out from fur and the same amount from fleece or any other soft fabric.

The details of the top are sewn together along the front and back seams from the seamy side, after which the workpiece is turned out with the fur. To make the seam strong, it is coated with transparent universal glue and a narrow decorative tape is glued on top. Fleece parts are sewn in the same way and inserted into the fur "boot". Both parts are connected together with a decorative seam along the upper edge.

When cutting large pieces of fur, the direction of the pile should be from top to bottom - this will give the slippers a neat and tidy look.

Symmetrical parts for the inner insole and sole are cut out of fur and leather, they are connected together with glue or a needle and thread, after which the finished top part is sewn to the workpiece. At the "boot", the upper edges are turned out with a fleece fabric, ready-made slippers are decorated with decorative elements.
