A self-embroidered blouse will become an indispensable item in your wardrobe. With a needle, a few beads, lace or threads, you can create an original piece of festive or everyday wardrobe. There are many options to design a blouse, the choice is yours.

Step 1
For DIY decoration, choose a cotton blouse. It will be easier to work with than with satin, silk or fine synthetics. When sewing the fabrics listed, select very fine needles and threads, and a simpler embroidery pattern.

Determine how you want the blouse to look after processing. On paper, draw a few sketches of the finished item, embroidered with different techniques. Choose the storyline that best suits your needs and the situations in which you plan to wear it.
Step 3
Floral ornaments, graphic patterns (lines, waves, etc., made with beads or threads with lurex), lace and satin ribbons look beautiful on clothes. Carefully apply the chosen pattern to the fabric. To do this, use a washable marker or chalk (on a dark blouse). Draw with one clear line, not strokes. According to the sketch prepared earlier, define the color zones.
Step 4
For volume embroidery on a cotton blouse, choose woolen threads or embroider floss in several folds. For cross stitching, use an overlay canvas, for example, if you are embroidering a blouse with floral designs. In this case, the stems and leaves are best decorated with satin stitch embroidery. Using different techniques will make your work look different and more interesting.
Step 5
To festively embroider a blouse in a dark color, use contrasting shades. It can be either shiny ribbons running along the edging, or bright, sparkling fittings. For example, embroidery made with gold or silver threads looks great on a black blouse. To add mystery to the image, use laces for finishing, matched to the tone of the main fabric.
Step 6
Do not use a lot of colors in your work (unless there is such a task). The maximum number is three shades. Make sure they match with each other. Subject to this rule, the thing will look sophisticated and refined.
