One of the simplest models of blouses, which even a novice dressmaker can make in just a couple of hours, is a peasant-style blouse. It can be combined with jeans, trousers or shorts, or with a skirt.
It is necessary
- - 2 m of fabric;
- - threads to match the fabric;
- - elastic band;
- - lace;
- - scissors;
- - sewing machine.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a fabric. For a peasant-style blouse, a plain fabric or material with a floral pattern is suitable. It is best to sew from fine cotton fabrics such as poplin or batiste. However, the blouse will turn out to be more elegant and spectacular if it is made of silk, viscose or chiffon.
Step 2
Take measurements. Measure your bust and arm circumference, sleeve and blouse length.
Step 3
You do not need to make a paper pattern, cut it directly on the fabric. Draw four rectangles (front, back, and two sleeves). For the back and the shelf, cut out rectangles, the width of which is ½ the chest circumference plus 10-15 cm for a free fit. The length is equal to the desired length of the blouse.
Step 4
For the sleeves, cut out rectangles that are the desired sleeve length and the width of the arm circumference plus 10-20 cm, depending on how loose the sleeve you want.
Step 5
Sew on the sleeves. Fold the piece in half, right side in, and sew a side seam. Leave 10-15 cm unstitched (for the armhole). Overlap the cut. Neaten the bottom of the sleeve and sew with lace.
Step 6
Sew the side seams of the front and front, leaving 10-15 cm unstitched. Overcast seams.
Step 7
Attach sleeves to the front and back. Pin together and sew. Overlock all sections.
Step 8
Finish the bottom edge of the blouse. Press hem allowance to wrong side and sweep by hand. Sew close to the edge on the sewing machine. Decorate the bottom with lace.
Step 9
Attach sleeves to the front and back. Pin together and sew. Overlap all sections.
Step 10
It remains to arrange the neckline. Sew lace along the cut. To make the blouse fit well on the figure, sew an elastic band to the neckline. Attach it to the wrong side of the blouse, pull it on and sew with a narrow zigzag stitch. Instead of an elastic band, you can make a drawstring and insert thin strings or braid into it. The blouse is ready.
