Step 1
Before sewing on the button, you need to pick up the threads. It is better to choose the threads according to the color of the buttons and take into account the thickness of the fabric. If the fabric is thick, then the threads should be much stronger than when sewing a button on a thin fabric.
Step 2
The method of sewing on a button "on a leg" is usually used for thick fabrics and a large load on the buttons. Most often this method is used on outerwear. To do this, first you need to prepare a match (you can also use a toothpick). After that, you need to place a match between the button and the fabric.
Step 3
Then the button must be sewn without removing the match from under the button so that a "leg" is formed from the threads due to the distance between the button and the fabric. The more stitches are sewn, the thicker the leg will be. The leg thickness is adjustable depending on the size of the button, the thickness of the fabric and the load on the fastener.
Step 4
At the end, it remains only to cut the thread and remove the match from under the button.
