Today, braiding and the creation of festive hairstyles are becoming more and more popular. If you decide to master this wonderful craft, then you cannot do without a training mannequin head, on which you can practice all kinds of manipulations with hair. In order for the mannequin to last as long as possible, it is necessary to properly care for it.
Instructions
Step 1
Combing hair
Any hair should be brushed gently to prevent hair loss and breakage. It is best to use a brush rather than a comb. Hair needs to be combed starting from the ends and gradually moving higher and higher; before starting the process, it is advisable to apply a spray that facilitates combing. It should be remembered that some of the hair will fall out, remain on the brush, but this is the norm.
Step 2
Mannequin washing
If your mannequin has natural hair, wash it regularly as it gets dirty. If styling products are used during work, then even more often. Hair should be washed in the same way as on a person: rinse 2-3 times, use shampoo for dry hair, rinse it thoroughly, and then be sure to apply conditioner; you can also use special care products for wigs. After washing, the hair should be lightly squeezed out and patted dry with a towel. Brush only after drying!
It is not necessary to wash artificial hair, as after washing its structure is disturbed, they become tangled and fall off. If, nevertheless, there is a need to wash the mannequin, then at the end of the procedure, you can rinse the hair in a solution of fabric softener, dry it, and then comb it, starting from the ends.
Step 3
Hair masks
This procedure is needed only for natural hair to improve its structure, prevent breakage, drying out and thinning. For masks, ready-made cosmetics are used, they must be applied as written in the instructions, and then rinsed thoroughly.
It is very good to make oil masks: apply vegetable oil (olive, burdock, castor oil) to the hair, wrap it in a plastic bag and let it stand for 1 hour. Then rinse with shampoo.
If you are going to use hot tools when working with the mannequin - hair dryer, tongs, iron - do not forget to apply a heat protectant to your hair.
