Fire show is a popular hobby among young people. To hone your skills, you need special training poi. However, beginners may have questions about how best to make them.
Instructions
Step 1
Take two handkerchief-sized rags. Sew a bag with a small hole from each of them. After that, pour any cereals inside, for example, buckwheat, millet, rice, etc. Then sew up the existing holes so that the cereal does not fall out of the bags.
Step 2
Take two sturdy socks and laces. Cut off the tops from the socks and place the cereal bags there. Sew the socks securely together with the ends of the laces. Tie loops at the other ends.
Step 3
Since the laces with loops rub your hands quickly, their use is not very comfortable. A more convenient material for making loops is leather or braid. Take two strips of tape, each about 25 cm long and about 2 cm wide. Fold a strip of tape in half, then attach each of the remaining two ends to the fold. Sew the resulting eyelets firmly to the lace. Do the same with the second strip of tape. To give the structure more strength, use a ring at the fold.
Step 4
Also, training poi can be made from tennis balls. Take one ball and use an awl to poke a hole in it. Insert the screw with the ring into it. For extra strength, use a washer to slide over the screw. After that, on the opposite side of the ball, make a few more holes with the help of an awl. They will be required in order to make an even cut. Take a knife and cut the tennis ball along the line of the holes you made.
Step 5
Next, open the ball a little, put a washer on the screw, and then tighten the nut on it as tightly as possible. For greater strength, glue the screw using "Torque". You can do the same with the hole, but it is better to leave it: if the nut is unscrewed, it can be quickly tightened again. Also, the hole will be useful if you want to make the singing heavier.
Step 6
Then attach a chain of the required length to the screw ring. Attach the loops at the other end.
