With the New Year approaching, parents begin to think about a carnival costume for a New Year's party for a child. I would like the child to have a wonderful outfit, but at the same time at no extra cost. If only a matinee is planned in kindergarten, then you can make not a complete costume, but its element. For example, bunny ears and a tail.

It is necessary

White fabric, cap, white fur, threads, scissors, cardboard, hat, bezel, cotton wool, synthetic winterizer

Instructions

Step 1

Make a pattern of cardboard bunny ears. To do this, draw two elongated ellipses on cardboard, sharpen the edges on one side. Do not forget about seam allowances. The thicker the material from which the ears will be made, the more reserve should be left for the seams.

Step 2

Take white fur, spread it out on a flat surface. Outline the pattern, cut out the future ears. If you don't have much fur, then the ears can be made double-sided, that is, fur on one side, and cotton on the other. If there is no fur, then you can simply sew white ears from the fabric, and decorate the edges of the ears with fluffy tinsel.

Step 3

Then fold the cut pieces right side in and sew them on the sides, by hand or on a sewing machine. After that, turn the ears right side out and either fill them with cotton for volume, or insert a synthetic winterizer. You can also put scraps of fabric left over from cutting into the ears. Now sew the base of the ears.

Step 4

Figure out how the bunny ears will stick to your head. You can attach them to the bezel. Take the headband and sew it over with fabric. After that, sew the ears to the rim on different sides. Just keep in mind that the bezel can fly off when you move, so if outdoor games are planned at the New Year's party, it is better to fix the ears on the cap. For this, a hat can be sewn separately in the form of a cap with ties, or you can take a ready-made one and attach the sewn ears to it.

Step 5

If the ears are part of a costume for a girl, then you can simply sew two or three invisibles to the finished ears and attach them to the hairstyle. The mount will be invisible and should hold well.
