If you've bought clothes that don't completely suit you, they can be fine-tuned to perfection. You can change its color, paint, provide an inscription or embellish it. In addition, all the techniques described can work together to create the desired "image" of the thing.

Step 1
Paint the clothes using the hot or cold batik technique. Pull the section of fabric that you will paint over the hoop. Make sure that the rest of the material is not in contact with this part, otherwise paint may seep onto it. Draw a sketch of the pattern on paper, then transfer it to the fabric. If you want to restrict parts of the drawing that will be painted over with one color, circle them with a reserve for cold batik. In hot batik, those areas that will not be painted over are filled with a reserve.
Step 2
Apply paint with a brush. If you want smooth color transitions and abstract streaks, dampen the cloth before painting. Painting on a dry surface will give sharper contours.
Step 3
In order not to be mistaken when transferring a pattern from a sketch to a fabric, make a stencil. From the cardboard, cut out those areas of the pattern that you want to fill with color. In this case, paint can be distributed with a brush, foam sponge or from a spray can.
Step 4
If the pattern or lettering consists of thin lines, it is easier and faster to draw them with markers on the fabric.
Step 5
Simple, monochromatic things can be made more interesting by completely changing their color. Purchase a water-based fabric dye. It is usually sold with a fixing salt. Dissolve the powder in water according to the instructions on the package. Crumple, twist and tie a wardrobe item. You can also make a lot of tucks on the fabric and tie them with threads. After the fabric is dyed, leave it rolled up to dry. As a result, the surface will acquire an uneven spotted or “marbled” color.
Step 6
Embroidery is more suitable for the volumetric decoration of clothes. You can make it on a pull-out canvas with a cross or draw a pattern by hand and fill it with satin stitch. Choose the motive of the picture among the diagrams in specialized magazines and on the Internet sites. As a material, you can use not only threads, but also ribbons or beads. The method for creating stitches remains the same.
Step 7
If you don't want to spend a lot of time decorating, buy a ready-made patch or decal. The first one will just need to be stitched to the clothes. The decal is fixed with a hot iron. They need to press on the drawing, lined with paper from the top and seamy sides.
