Step 2
Panama hats are decorated with strings with beads or butterflies. At the very top of the head, fasten several thin ribbons 0.5 cm wide, string bright beads on them. Tie the ends with a double knot. Remember that small parts need to be sewn on or fastened very firmly, in order to avoid "test on the tooth" by a little prankster.
Step 3
Turn baby hats into funny animals. Put an elongated rectangular model of a headdress on a jar, as if on a mannequin. Tie the top edges with the ribbons for the ears. Embroider the eyes and mouth with floss or beads. If you have a cat on your hat, you can fix pieces of fluff or fur on the corners so that the ears become fluffy and voluminous.
Step 4
Children's outerwear is decorated with applications made of leatherette, fur, felt, oilcloth fabrics, as well as ready-made glue and sewing elements. For example, you can create a creeping puppy on one of the front shelves of a baby's raincoat. Take any children's coloring book, make a copy on tracing paper. Then cut the picture into its component parts, and you get the templates of the selected animal, man or object. Attach the templates to the fabric, cut them out, then use a zigzag seam to stitch the appliqué to the garment. As an addition, you can use glue rhinestones over the pattern.
Step 5
A sweater or blouse can be embroidered with beads, beads, shells, if the child is over 3 years old. A large volumetric pattern looks best on the back. Mark the picture with a simple pencil on the clothes and sew using a fine beading needle and mono thread.
