Knitting a cell phone case is not difficult and will not take you long if you have the initial knitting skills. Even if you knit the cover with a simple front satin stitch, and then sew it with multi-colored beads or sequins, or even lace, you will get a wonderful accessory for your mobile phone.
It is necessary
- - knitting needles No. 2-2, 5-3 (depending on the thickness of the threads);
- - yarn - 50-60g (multi-colored or plain);
- - needle for stitching parts
Instructions
Step 1
First, measure the width, length, and height of your phone with a ruler. Let's say the phone is 4.5 cm wide, 9.5 cm long, 2 cm high. Therefore, the total width of the case will be about 6.5 cm, and the length will be about 11 cm. Select the pattern with which you want to knit the phone case. It can be either a convex pattern, for example, a "braid", or a simple front surface, which can then be embroidered with beads, rhinestones or sequins.
Step 2
Tie a test piece, approximately 6x6cm, to calculate the number of stitches. Suppose that the number of loops in 1 cm is equal to two, then 13 loops need to be cast on the knitting needle cover. Having typed the loops, knit with the pattern of your choice 11 cm. If you want your case to be with a valve, then you need to knit an additional 5-6 cm.
Step 3
Lightly steam the resulting strip with an iron, without touching the knitted product with the sole of the iron, otherwise the convex pattern may turn out to be flattened. Sew the sides of the strip together, folding the strip right side inward. Instead of a needle, you can use a hook, in this case, the product does not need to be folded with the right sides inward. Start tying the cover in a circle, starting from the bottom edge with single crochets. You can tie the cover with lush double crochets and knit from 3 to 6 lush columns from one loop. This will make the edge of the case embossed. Unscrew the case.
Step 4
If you have knitted a case with a flap, pick up a button and crochet a chain of air loops from the center of the flap to create a buttonhole.
