Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting the doll from the torso. Cast on 24 stitches with sand or flesh-colored thread. Knit two rows with front stitch. Start the third row by knitting the front loop. Then, to the end of the row, alternate 3 front loops with 1 yarn over. You will receive 32 stitches. Now you need to knit 25 rows with the front stitch. Knit the yarn overs of the previous row behind the back wall. This will prevent holes from forming.
Step 2
Now you need to form the shoulder bevels. To do this, knit 6 front loops from the beginning of a new row. Then decrease as follows: remove 1 loop, leaving it on the auxiliary knitting needle, knit 1 knit. Pull this knitted loop through the removed one. Knit the next two stitches together with a knit stitch. Sew 12 knit stitches, repeat decrease and knit two stitches together again. Finish the row with 6 knit sts. Purl the second and fourth rows. Knit the third and fifth rows in the same way as the first, only reduce the number of the first in a row of front loops with each row by one (6 - 5 - 4), and the number of middle ones by two (12 - 10 - 8). In the sixth row, all loops are knit.
Step 3
Now for the neck, complete two rows of the front surface and start knitting the head. Work one row, alternating yarn over with two knit stitches. Next, you need to knit 21 rows with the front stitch. Then form the crown: alternate to the end of the row knitting 3 front loops with 2, connected together with the front, loops. Purl the second and fourth rows. In the third row, alternate 2 stitches tied together with 2 front ones, and in the fifth - with one. Finish the sixth row by knitting the remaining stitches in two together with the purl. Pull the thread through 6 loops. Pull it tight and secure. Sew the edges of the head and torso together, leaving a hole for the padding. After filling with padding polyester, sew up the hole.
Step 4
Make two leg pieces. Cast on 14 stitches with shoe color thread. To the end of the row, repeat the alternation of the yarn and 2 knit stitches. In the second row, all the loops are purl. In the third row, alternate 5 knit stitches with a crochet. Knit the fourth and tenth rows with the front stitch. In the eleventh row, you need to perform reductions: after you knit 7 front loops, perform reductions twice as described in the second step, but, knitting the removed loop, and twice - stretching the knitted one through the removed one. In the twelfth row, knit all the loops with purl. Start and finish the thirteenth row by knitting two loops together, knit the rest with the front ones. Continue knitting with flesh-colored thread and sew 36 rows with front stitch. Having closed all the loops in the forty-ninth row, join the edges with a seam, fill with padding polyester and sew the legs to the body.
Step 5
For hands, cast on 5 stitches each with flesh-colored thread. Knit the first row, alternating the front loop with a crochet, the second row with purl loops. In the third and fourth rows, knit 2 loops from 1. Then knit 31 rows of the front surface. Close all loops, sew and stuff in handles. Sew to the torso. Embroider eyes, nose and mouth. Fold the hair strands in half and sew to the head. Tie your hair into two ponytails at the sides. You can also knit or sew a dress for a doll from fabric.
