Ice fishing has long been a staple hobby for many people around the world. And for traditional ice fishing, many different lures have been invented. The most effective of them are balancers, which are a kind of horizontally located lures. You need to fish on a balancer in a certain way with the help of a correctly selected rod.
It is necessary
- - winter rod;
- - fishing line;
- - balancers;
- - equipment for winter fishing.
Instructions
Step 1
Find a rod suitable for fishing with a balancer. It should be short and firm enough. Do not use rods with a flexible tip. No nod is needed either. Balancer play should be precise and varied. This can be achieved to the maximum extent with a rigid rod.
Step 2
Equip your fishing rod. Place a small spool with a lock on it. Wrap 20-25 meters of line with a diameter of 0.2-0.25 mm on a reel (the thinner the line, the more accurately you can control light lures). Attach a carabiner to the end of the fishing line - it will allow you to change the balancers very quickly and easily during fishing.
Step 3
Collect a set of balancers. Choose them by size, weight, color, tail type (plastic, thread), etc. Act on the basis of information about the body of water in which you intend to fish, the species and size of fish living there. Thus, small baits cannot be used at great depths. But at the beginning of winter, they are very catchy. Toward the end of the season, give preference to heavy balancers, since fishing will be carried out in the middle and upper (especially in spring) layers of the water, and the game with bait needs to be very lively and varied.
Step 4
Collect the rest of the fishing gear and head to the pond. Choose a fishing spot and drill one or more holes in the ice. Consider the bottom topography and possible fish congestion areas.
Step 5
Use the balancer to fish. First release the spool lock and unwind the line until the bait reaches the bottom. Make a few light strokes up and down with the rod. Make sure the bait falls to the bottom. Reel in 50-70 centimeters of line and start the game with a balancer. At the beginning of winter, try to make smooth up and down movements, keeping the line tension while lowering the bait. As spring approaches, sharpen the game. Decrease and then increase the depth of the bait. This will attract fish faster.
