It is necessary

  • - pale pink fleece (55 * 117 cm);
  • - light purple fleece (41 * 80 cm)
  • - 20 cm of adhesive spider web;
  • - dark gray floss;
  • - light pink or purple threads
  • - basic sewing kit
  • For the male pillow:
  • - dark brown felt (20 * 41 cm);
  • - shreds of red, black, light pink felt;
  • - dark brown, red threads
  • For the female pillow:
  • - gray felt (31 * 41 cm);
  • - small pieces of scarlet, light pink, black felt;
  • - gray and hot pink sewing thread;
  • - inner pillow or filler

Instructions

Step 1

Cut out the details for the pillows. Cut out 1 circle from the fleece and 2 semicircles (for the underside of the cover) with a diameter of 38 cm.

Step 2

When cutting semicircles for the backs, be sure to leave seam allowances not only on the sides, but also along the bottom edge. Sew a zipper to connect the 2 halves, if desired.

Step 3

Using a circular pattern, cut the front of each cushion in pale pink fleece. Also prepare a 10 * 115 cm pale pink side strip for the side of each pillow, which you connect into a ring.

Step 4

Create templates for male and female faces. Cut out the details of 2 sets of facial features: dark brown fleece for the man's hair and mustache, and gray fleece for the woman's hair.

Step 5

Also make a mouth out of scarlet felt, cheeks, nose, eyes out of black felt out of light pink. Make blanks from a glue web of the same shape as the elements of the face, but a little larger.

Step 6

Having placed elements of an adhesive spider web on the base, then apply felt blanks on top. Determine the location of facial features in proportion to each other.

Step 7

Covering the applique on top with a clean sheet of paper, apply it with a hot iron for 10-12 seconds. As a result, the workpiece will stick, and the remnants of the glue web that have gone beyond the edges will remain on the paper.

Step 8

Hand stitch or zigzag stitch using light pink thread around nose and cheeks, red thread around mouth.

Step 9

On the feminine pillow, work the mouth around the inner and outer edges of the circles using hot pink thread. Sew 6 straight stitches from the center of the eye to the edge with dark gray floss, creating a star-shaped outline.

Step 10

On a woman's face, embroider eyelashes with a dark gray thread. On the man's, zigzag the mustache with brown thread.

Step 11

Fold the front and side of the pillow with the front sides together, pin and sweep both parts, laying a basting 1, 5 cm from the edge.

Step 12

Notch the edges, placing the notches about 2 cm apart. Sew the back of the cover in the same way.

Step 13

Leave an area unstitched for the pillow to fit into the cover if you did not have a zipper. Turn right out.

Step 14

Insert pillow into cover or fill with filler. Sew up the hole with a blind stitch or close the zipper.
