An excellent material for children's creativity that develops fine motor skills is salt dough. It is absolutely safe for children, it is quickly done, it freezes perfectly. Then you can paint it and hang it on the wall - you get a beautiful and durable picture.
Instructions
Step 1
To make this wonderful material, we only need flour and salt. We mix them in equal parts, add a little water to the mixture so that the dough is kneaded well, but not too steep.
Step 2
And to start sculpting, it is necessary to ensure the convenience of the one who will sculpt, be it a child or an adult. We will lay an oilcloth on the table and dress in such clothes that it will not be a pity to get dirty. Especially if, after sculpting, painting of the molded figures follows.
Step 3
On the question of tools: we take everything that is used when sculpting from plasticine, namely, plastic stacks, a rolling pin, stencils, small forms and small stamps that you can buy or simply look for at home.
Step 4
Give yourself full scope for creativity and do not skimp on imagination. If your child sculpts from dough, do not disturb him with your comments, even if his plane looks like a rabbit. You can give your child some peas or beans to decorate with. As in the case of plasticine, we recommend going into the forest and picking up small leaves, twigs, acorns and hats from them, for various cute figures.
Step 5
If you are interested in when and how to paint the dough, then you can paint it at any time, even if the dough is not completely dry. Perfect for salty gouache dough. Or you can paint the dough with food colors before starting work.
Step 6
To dry the figurines, lay them out on a baking sheet, placing a sheet of parchment under them, or you can simply put them on the battery.
