Flamenco - a fiery and spectacular Spanish dance - is unthinkable without the resounding clicking of castanets and the bewitching wriggling movements of the dancer's long skirt. An eternal drama entitled "He and She" is played out in front of the audience to the sound of a crying guitar. A long dress with voluminous flounces is an obligatory attribute of a passionate and proud image of a sultry Spanish beauty. The flamenco performer can also be dressed in a costume consisting of a fitted blouse with flared sleeves and a special cut skirt decorated with flounces.

- - fabric 140-150 cm wide for the base of the skirt - 2 lengths; for shuttlecocks - at the rate: 120-150 cm shuttlecocks from 1 meter of fabric.
Instructions
Step 1
The basis of a flamenco skirt is a long-year skirt of six (or more) heavily flared gussets. The size of the flare at the bottom of the skirt is from 1 to 2, 5 "sun" (full circle), which is achieved by various cutting techniques. To construct a wedge pattern, take three measurements: waist circumference (+ 1.5 cm = OT), hip circumference (+ 1 cm = OB) and product length (CI), and also determine the desired width and number of shuttlecocks.
Step 2
On graph paper, draw a vertical line for the middle of the wedge and a horizontal line for the waist; parallel to it at a distance of 19-20 cm - the line of the hips. Set aside from the waistline a distance equal to the length of the skirt minus the width of the lower flounce, and draw a line for the bottom. On both sides of the line of the middle of the wedge, set aside segments equal to half of the value of OT / 6 along the line of the hips, half of the value of OB / 6 along the line of the hips, draw vertical lines through the points obtained. Draw out the side segments between the lines of the waist and hips with slightly convex lines. Continue the lateral sides of the wedge from the level of the hips with symmetrical lines perpendicular to it (the opening angle may be less). Set aside on them distances equal to the size of the segment between the lines of the hips and bottom of the skirt. Draw the bottom line with a smooth semicircular curve. Mark the levels of sewing shuttlecocks (if there are several).
Step 3
Pin the pattern to the fabric (you can fold it in layers). Circle the pattern and make 1.5 cm seam allowances on all sides. Cut six identical wedges. Also cut out the belt: its length is OT + 5 cm for the fastener + 2 cm for the seams, and the width is equal to twice the finished width + a seam allowance of 1.5 cm.
Step 4
Stitch the wedges along the long, curly sides and press the seams. In the seam on the left side of the skirt on top, leave room for the fastening (15-18 cm). Sew in concealed zipper. On the allowances in the places where the flare begins, cut the corners. Overlock the seams on the overlock.
Step 5
Sew on the belt and make a double fastener on it: one button on the outside, and one button or hook on the inside. A strong fastener is necessary as it will have to withstand the rather heavy skirt and the dancer's very energetic movements.
Step 6
Shuttlecocks are sewn from several parts. Each part is a ring with an inner diameter of 15 cm, and the diameter of the outer circle is twice the width of the shuttle plus 15 cm. The number of parts of each shuttle is calculated based on the length of the line of its grinding: this value is divided by the length of the inner circumference of one part of the shuttle.
Step 7
Cut out and sew the details of the lower shuttlecock, process its lower cut on the overlock with a "roll" seam with threads matching the main fabric or, conversely, with contrasting ones. Flounces can be made double - the top layer is made of the main fabric, and the bottom one is made of contrasting fabric (and the bottom layer can look out from under the top one). In this case, cut out and sew both parts of the double shuttlecock, process the lower cuts and sweep the upper cuts together.
Step 8
Sew the lower flounce (single or double) to the lower edge of the skirt. Fold the flounce and skirt with the right sides, aligning the cuts, and sew a stitch. Iron the seam allowances up from the wrong side.
Step 9
In the same way, cut and stitch the rest of the flounces at the designated levels, laying them face to face on the skirt panel and with an untreated cut towards the bottom of the product. You can lightly press the seam seam from the right side through the iron or using the removable soleplate.
