Step 1
Look at the tattoo works of the master who will perform the drawing on your body. First, the skin is treated, freed from the hairs with a razor. A special solution (green soap, alcohol) is degreased and disinfected. After that, apply a thin and even layer of gel or gel deodorant.
Step 2
Do not drink alcohol before the procedure, as it dilates blood vessels, which will be affected during work, resulting in minor bleeding. Alcohol increases the intensity of blood flow, which is difficult to stop. Pressure may rise, hematopoietic processes are activated - and as a result, the dye will be washed out of the skin. For the same reason, stop taking medication the day before getting a tattoo.
Step 3
Ask the master about how to apply the pattern. This is often done using a regular needle tied around the end with thread or a specially made for this purpose, the so-called "pishney" (a tattooing tool made from a regular paper clip, a clip from a notebook or wire sharpened at one end). These devices are immersed in mascara, after which the skin is pierced with frequent and small injections, while the dye is injected along the pattern of the image.
Step 4
Ask if the artist will apply a tattoo on the body using a template (a piece of hard rubber with reinforced needles, along the contour of the drawing). The workpiece is projected onto the body and then driven in with force. As a result, the needles go under the skin about 1/2 cm, and the mascara is directly under the skin.
Step 5
Check if the master can use a device created on the basis of an electric razor or with a blade. The contour of the pattern is cut and a dye is rubbed into the skin.
Step 6
Find out how to apply a tattoo before starting work. In good salons, special devices are used, where professional ink is used as a dye. This ensures sterility as only a disposable needle is used here. The specialist attaches a piece of paper with a drawing to the body and drives a small typewriter over it. The dye is delivered under the skin using vibrating needles.
Step 7
Ask for pain relief. In most cases it is not needed, but sometimes it is required. Relax your muscles and get into a natural posture.
Step 8
The site of tattooing is processed after the completion of the procedure. If blood droplets appear, they must be removed. After that, an antiseptic is applied and a compress for 12 hours. A thick layer of ointment is applied to the drawing, covered with a bandage folded in four layers and wrapped in food grade polyethylene. Then the skin must be rinsed with cool water, the tattoo should be rinsed with a decoction of calendula, the crust must not be peeled off.
Step 9
It happens that craftsmen use a transfer pencil. The draft is created thanks to three-layer paper (drawing, carbon paper, tracing paper). The template is translated onto parchment, then the picture is transferred to the body. Sometimes a gel pen is used, the advantages are that you can always correct inaccuracies and correct the image.
