Sadly, but strings are consumables, they tend to break, stretch, deform, etc. Therefore, every self-respecting guitarist must always have a set of spare strings with him, and must also be able to install them correctly. Quite often, musicians complain about their instruments for getting upset quickly, blaming the poor quality of the guitar or musical accessories for this. In fact, improper strings are to blame in most cases.
It is necessary
New set of strings to match your guitar and meet your requirements (training, composing, etc.)
Instructions
Step 1
Loosen the old strings with the tuning pegs. You need to loosen quite a bit, but so that the strings do not sag too much. This is done in order to prevent deformation of the guitar neck from a sharp change in the tension force.
Step 2
Unscrew the tuning pegs after a while and remove the old strings. Then untie the strings from the nut. But do not remove all the strings at once - difficulties may arise, and there will no longer be a visual pattern in the form of a stretched string.
Step 3
Attach a new string to the nut, then bring it to the headstock by passing it through the tuning peg hole. Please note that you must leave some margin for winding the strings on the peg. Then carefully pull the string towards the headstock. Be careful not to pull the string in different directions, because it can deform or break, which, of course, is highly undesirable.
Step 4
Bend the end of the string towards the center of the headstock and run under the string itself. As a result of these actions, you should get a lock. By keeping the string taut, it will prevent its deformation and facilitate the overall installation process.
Step 5
Begin to twist the peg while holding the string taut. Thanks to this twisting, the string will clamp itself. If it becomes necessary to increase the inclined angle of the string relative to the nut, wind the string down the peg shaft, not up. After all, if the inclined angle is very small, the string can jump off the nut right during the game.
Step 6
Stretch the rest of the strings, resting on the stretched pattern first. This way of setting the strings allows the instrument not to be upset for a long time.
