The inscription at the bottom of an embroidered landscape or portrait often serves as the embroiderer's autograph. On napkins and towels, the letters themselves become an elegant ornament and a full-fledged decoration. No special skills or additional training is required to embroider the inscription. It is enough just to use embroidery patterns.
Instructions
Step 1
To embroider the inscription in Latin letters, use the alphabet in the illustration. Each square of the diagram corresponds to a square on the canvas. The scheme is suitable for embroidery with tapestry stitch, cross and half-cross, as well as beadwork using the monastic stitch technique. The distance between the letters of the word is four to five squares, between the words is the length of the letter plus eight to ten squares.
Step 2
For embroidery of the Russian alphabet, use the following illustration. The distance between the letters is about the same, but you can change it at your discretion and depending on the size of the letter. The pattern is suitable for the same types of embroidery: cross, half-cross, tapestry and monastic stitch.
Step 3
For satin stitching, you can use the pattern shown in the third illustration. Change the colors and sizes to your liking. The distance between the letters is about half the average width of the letter, but depending on the artistic intent, the size of the work and the lettering, the letters can be located closer or further. Try different options, the main thing is to leave all experiments on paper, and strictly follow the prepared scheme on the fabric.
