Adobe Photoshop program, image
Instructions
Step 1
Run the program and open the photo. To do this, right-click on the image and select the operation "Open with" (Photoshop). Or, already in the program on the control panel, select the operation "Open" (Ctrl + O) and in the window that appears, select the required image.
Step 2
Select the image by clicking on the Rectangular Marquee toolbar and stretching the dotted rectangle to fill the entire photo. You can use the keys Ctrl + A.
Step 3
Copy the image to a new file (Ctrl + N or the command "File - New", then - "Edit - Paste" or Ctrl + V) if you want to keep the original. And then work in a new file. If you do not need to keep the original size, then the next operation can be performed in the original file.
Step 4
Click "Image - Image Size" in the control bar. Typically, the default aspect ratio in a program is “linked” (chain icon). If you set a new length for one side, the other will change to match the original proportions. You can change the size in pixels, or choose a measure that is convenient for you - cm, mm, inches, etc.
Step 5
Save the file using the "File - Save" or "File - Save As …" command if you were working with a new document.
Step 6
Choose the Crop command from the toolbar if you want to not only resize but also crop your photo. Select the required area with a frame and press Enter. If you want to make the image strictly square, while "stretching" the frame, press "Shift". The image will be proportional. The frame can also be moved.
Step 7
Save the file. And don't forget to save intermediate operations periodically.
