It is necessary

  • - leafy stalk;
  • -sharp knife or blade;
  • -alcohol;
  • -Activated carbon;
  • -small water tank;
  • -paper;
  • -pure water;
  • - loose soil;
  • - greenhouse or plastic bag.

Instructions

Step 1

For a strong and healthy flower to grow, you need to carefully choose a stalk. It should be healthy, preferably from the second or third tier, it is better not to use material from the first, such a sheet is already old and weak. In order for the reproduction of violets by leaf cuttings to be successful, the plate must not be taken from the center of the plant - there is a risk of damaging the flower's growth system.

Step 2

The sheet is cut with a sharp knife or blade, after pretreating the surface of the instrument with alcohol. The length of the cutting should be at least 3 cm, but 1.5 cm is permissible for miniature species. If the leaf has lost its turgor and wilted, you can try to revive it and still root it. For this, the material is placed in warm boiled water with potassium permanganate for 2 hours. Then the cutting is dried and cut.

Step 3

In order for the reproduction of violets with a leaf at home to be successful, you need to choose the right dishes for the cutting. Better to use small cups or a dark glass container. Warm, settled or boiled water is poured into the dishes and 1 tablet of activated carbon is placed in it so that dangerous bacteria do not appear during the development of the plate. The stalk is dipped into water by 1-1.5 cm, and as the liquid evaporates, a new one is added. It is important that the sheet does not touch the container, so its position is fixed with a sheet of paper. If everything is done correctly, the first roots will appear in 2-4 weeks.

Step 4

The last stage in the reproduction of violets at home is rooting in the ground. For this, you can use peat tablets or loose soil. They moisten it, plant a stalk with roots in it and put it in a greenhouse. The soil is regularly ventilated to prevent mold from appearing. It is important to protect the immature plant from drafts, cold and drying out of the soil. When the daughter rosette reaches 3 cm, the violet can be transplanted into a pot.
