Cats and kittens are loved by most people - adults, children, women and men. That is why images of cats decorate a variety of things, and you can create such a thing with your own hands by knitting a toy kitten from yarn. This crocheted cat will be a great gift for your friends and a favorite toy for your children. Knitting such a toy is very simple - you need fine white wool, as well as wool of other colors for the cat's clothes. Also prepare a holofiber for stuffing the toy and hook # 2.
Instructions
Step 1
Start knitting the cat from the lower legs. Tie a double ring and tie it with six posts. In the second row, work two stitches into each stitch in the first row to make 12 stitches. In the third row, knit the stitches behind the back bow, one stitch in each stitch in the second row. This way the knitting will rise.
Step 2
The fourth row, continue to knit by two bows - knit 12 stitches, and then change the thread to the color with which you will knit the kitten's pants. Crochet the contrasting thread and pull it through the last white loop. Pull up the end of the white thread and knit 12 stitches in a spiral with a different color of thread.
Step 3
Tie five more rows and cut the thread, leaving a small tip. Tighten the end of the loop. After finishing the first leg, move on to knitting the second leg - make an air loop and thread it through a work loop to climb to the next row. Unfold the knitting and tie four single crochets.
Step 4
Connect the legs by making an air loop on the other leg and tying a connecting post between the legs. Tie three connecting posts to keep the legs firmly connected.
Step 5
Go to knitting the body of the kitten - knit it in a spiral, knitting in the first row the extreme columns connecting the legs. Tie two or three more rows in a spiral, then stuff the kitten's legs tightly with holofiber. Change the thread color again and knit the next row in a different color, starting with the sweater.
Step 6
Tie another six rows with a new thread, and in the seventh row, begin to make decreases by threading the hook into the next column, grabbing the thread and pulling it through the column. Then thread the hook into another column, grab and stretch the thread. Pull the thread until you have three loops on your hook.
Step 7
Pull the thread through three loops at once. Work the next row, knitting every fourth and fifth stitch together. In the next row, make even more decreases - knit together every 3 and 4 loops. Secure the thread with a connecting post and an air loop. A hole will appear in the figure. Fill the torso with holofiber through this hole.
Step 8
Start knitting hands - knit the first row of six columns, and then knit in a spiral, knitting two columns in every second column of the first row. Change the thread to the color of the kitten's sweatshirt to form the sleeves, and continue spiraling three more rows. Cut the thread and secure it, then tie another arm.
Step 9
Now tie the tail - in the first row, tie the ring with five columns, and then tie seven rows in a spiral without decreasing or adding. Secure the thread.
Step 10
Begin to knit the cat's head, in a spiral knitting a ball from ordinary single crochets. Add and then subtract loops evenly to create a spherical shape. Stuff your head through the hole, close the hole with the posts, and cut the thread. Tie the cat's face and ears separately. Sew the ears and muzzle to the head, then sew the bead nose and eyes. The knitted cat is ready.
