Crafts for the New Year is a great opportunity to teach a child new skills and make original gifts to family and friends together. Creation of applications with many elements will captivate not only children, but also adults.
What elements need to be prepared for drawing up applications
If you prepare a sufficient number of elements with a New Year's theme, you can very quickly make several different crafts-applications at once. The main characters of the New Year's scenes: Santa Claus, Snegurochka, Snowman, Bunny, Herringbone, Snowflake.
All of these characters can be made from a few simple geometric shapes in different colors. Cut out the details from bright colored paper and arrange them into groups: 1. Santa Claus. Large and small red triangles elongated in height (fur coat and hat), large white (face) and orange circles (bag with gifts) and 4 small (boots and mittens), a long narrow brown strip (staff). 2. Snow Maiden. Large and small blue triangles elongated in height (fur coat and hat), large white and 4 small circles (face and boots with mittens), a scattering of small yellow ovals (braid). 3. Snowman. Three white circles from large to small (body) and 4 more small (mittens and felt boots), five tiny black circles (eyes and buttons), one elongated orange triangle (nose) and gray (a bucket on the head) - more. 4. Bunny. This character can be glued from many white small pieces of paper or from small cotton balls. 5. Herringbone. Green triangles of different sizes (rows of spruce paws). Many multi-colored circles (Christmas tree decorations). 6. Snowflake. Cut these figures out of white circles of different diameters. The more openwork snowflakes on the applique, the more elegant the picture will be.
How can you place the heroes of the New Year's applique
Since almost all the characters in the New Year's scene are white or with white trim, the background for the picture should be chosen darker - blue or burgundy. Fill the bottom of the applique with carved snowflakes set on glue. Let them go one on top of the other, this will add volume to the picture.
Make Santa Claus and an elegant Christmas tree as the main or central characters. Stick the green triangles one on top of the other, starting with the largest one at the bottom. Place colorful balls made of colorful circles on these spruce paws. Place Santa Claus next to it, collecting it from the prepared parts.
Gather the rest of the heroes of the New Year's applique around these characters. Stick small snowflakes randomly throughout the picture. Draw the faces of the characters of the applique. Now you can sign the finished gift and give it to your loved one with good wishes!
