It can be stowed in the trunk of a car and assembled upon arrival at the reservoir. But a large boat weighing up to 80 kg without a motor is not very convenient for regular assembly / disassembly, and requires special devices for transportation when assembled.

The assembled PVC boat can be transported on a regular flatbed trailer. At the same time, in order not to damage the cylinders and the bottom of the boat, the trailer loading platform, as well as all sharp edges and sides, are protected with a hard carpet or linoleum. The boat is fastened across with slings with tensioning and fixing mechanisms. The trailer suspension must be soft. If the boat is being carried keel down, do not store bags, tackle and other heavy items inside it, as this can damage the bottom when driving on uneven roads.

All boat accessories are firmly in place. For better and more tight fixation of the boat on the trailer, special wedge-shaped pads are used. In this case, after installation and fastening with slings, the boat cylinders are pumped up to the required pressure, which prevents the boat from sliding on the trailer.

Despite all the benefits of this type of transportation, one should take into account the fact that it is physically impossible to launch a heavy boat from a trailer on its own.

The most convenient and safe way to transport a PVC boat is a special boat trailer. Trailers with cradles are used for this purpose. The boat is transported on them with the keel down. In order not to damage the cylinders and the bottom, you need to choose a trailer with not sharp ends of the beams. The ideal option is with folds. They allow the winch to be safely used to load and retrieve the boat from the water. The lodgements should be located so that the largest area of the onboard balloons can rest on them. The boat is secured with slings.
Step 5
The use of a tarpaulin or cover is recommended to prevent contamination during transport and for greater protection. In this case, the boat can carry small-sized, lightweight, firmly fixed loads. The use of special overlays is also helpful. Their purpose is to reduce the pressure of the cradles on the side cylinders and to reduce wear. While driving, it is necessary to regularly check the reliability of all fasteners. If the atmospheric pressure in the cylinders of the boat decreases, the fasteners will begin to loosen.

An important consideration when choosing a boat trailer is the suspension. Regardless of whether it uses spring dampers or rubber bands, it must be soft enough. Rigid trailers are more difficult to drive and the boat itself can be damaged.
