A wooden shelf - a small table with shelves - is a very convenient thing for serving: it can be easily rearranged in any room or placed next to a garden bench. Besides the ease of use, this piece of furniture has to be beautiful.
It is necessary
- - whatnot (table with shelves);
- - white and green acrylic paint;
- - three-layer decoupage napkins;
- - white paper decorative napkins;
- - Mod Podge glue;
- - a sheet of parchment;
- - flat synthetic brush (# 24);
- - a piece of wax candle;
- - water-based acrylic varnish
Instructions
Step 1
Paint the outside of the shelves with white acrylic paint and let dry. Rub the inside of the shelves with wax, passing the candle in only one direction.
Step 2
Mix white and green paint and paint the inside of the shelves with a wide brush.
Step 3
Transfer the outlines of the central part of the white napkin to a napkin with a picture and cut out the element. Carefully remove the bottom white layers from the cut part.
Step 4
Sand the surface so that the wood appears a little, removing dust.
Step 5
Apply an even coat of Mod Podge to the shelves. Place a white tissue on the surface, cover with parchment paper and smooth with a plastic spatula.
Step 6
Stick a colored piece on the center of the white napkin. Apply a layer of glue again to secure the element. Smooth with a brush or through the parchment with a spatula.
Step 7
Cut the napkin into strips to fit the sides of the shelves. Apply glue to one of the sides. Quickly glue on the colored strip and smooth. Paste over all sides of the shelves and let dry.
Step 8
Carefully remove the protruding edges of the napkin by rubbing lightly along the edge with sandpaper. Apply Mod Podge to the colored stripes and let dry.
Step 9
For finishing, apply 1-2 coats of varnish to the surface.
Step 10
You can also decorate bottles using the same technique. Cut labels out of decoupage paper.
Step 11
Clean the surface of the bottle with an alcohol solution, then apply all-purpose adhesive and stick the label. Decorate the bottle with cords and tassels.
