Painted glass with colored paints decorates not only the window, but the entire room. The patterns can be easily washed off and updated according to the mood, or you can work with paints on glass or stained glass, then the window is wiped off as usual without the use of abrasives.
It is necessary
- - gouache;
- - brushes or sponge;
- - stencil;
- - stained glass paints;
- - liquid for washing glasses;
- - soft cloth.
Instructions
Step 1
Washable pictures on the window Prepare a stencil with the pattern you want to see on the window. It can be purchased at stationery stores or where art supplies are sold. You can print the drawing yourself from the Internet.
Step 2
Secure the picture to the window using masking tape or ordinary tape. If a sticky mark remains on the glass after removing the stencil, gently wipe the area with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol or white spirit.
Step 3
Prepare a jar of water, gouache and a palette. Apply paint to glass with a brush or sponge. Beautiful winter pictures can be made using ordinary tooth powder, diluting it with water to a state of sour cream.
Step 4
Dry the drawing. If necessary, wash it off with warm water and a cloth.
Step 5
Drawing with stained glass paints Stained glass paints are very liquid and can only be painted on a surface that is located horizontally. Otherwise, ugly smudges will be visible on the glass. Therefore, you can decorate windows with high quality if you have old frames and, after pulling out the glazing bead, you take out the glass and put it on the table for work.
Step 6
Clean the glass with window cleaner. Thus, you not only clean the surface of dirt, but also degrease it, preparing for drawing.
Step 7
Prepare your pattern. You can pre-draw it on a piece of paper or print it on a printer. Place the picture under the glass and secure it.
Step 8
Outline the lines. Try to squeeze it evenly out of the tube. Keep a rag handy to wipe the plastic spout on time. If the line is out of order, you can quickly correct it with a toothpick or wipe it with a cotton swab.
Step 9
Cover the picture with colored stained glass paints. Pour them from tubes inside closed lines in a thick layer. If you are using a brush, use it to spread the paint so that there is an even layer in the outlined areas.
Step 10
Let the pattern dry completely. Try not to rub the drawing for the first time, but after a couple of weeks you can safely wash the window with a soft cloth.
Step 11
For painting on modern double-glazed windows, use sets of acrylic on glass. These paints are thick enough and do not spread. But brush or sponge strokes will be visible in the light. This will give your piece a certain charm. But if you are not sure about the result, try the paint on a small area of the window. You can draw the dividing lines with a contour along the already painted picture. They will make your artwork clear and complete.
