Step 1
The most basic thing is to decorate the glass vase with painted flowers. With the help of paints, you transform a vase, turning it into a work of art. Buy a glass painting kit. These sets contain stencils, color sets and ready-made drawings. The stencil will make your job easier. It is enough to attach it to the glass surface and outline it.
Step 2
For painting on glass, you can use special paints, as well as ordinary acrylic paints. Prepare the surface of the glass vase for drawing. To do this, thoroughly clean it from dirt, dust and grease. Wash the vase with soap and dry well. Be sure to degrease the surface with a solution that contains alcohol.
Step 3
Using the outliner paint, draw the outline of the future drawing. The outliner creates an embossed contour and prevents paint spreading.
Step 4
Wait for the outline to dry well and start painting on the glass. Apply liquid paints in thin layers, then they will not spread over the surface. Dilute thick paints with special solvents.
Step 5
Use a separate brush for each color to keep the colors from mixing. Do not allow paint to flow out beyond the border of the applied contours. If you have used acrylic paint, then it does not need to be cured. After drying, cover the stained glass paint with an aerosol varnish.
Step 6
You can decorate a glass vase not only with a pattern, but also with decor from an improvised and available material. For example, using semolina, you will get a beautiful decor on a vase, which can be presented as a gift.
Step 7
Prepare the surface of the vase for decoration. It should also be washed and degreased. Take a syringe without a needle and fill it with PVA glue. It should be thick in consistency so that it does not spread over the glass surface.
Step 8
Squeezing the glue out of the syringe, draw any pattern. Sprinkle the resulting glue ornament thickly with semolina. Leave it on for a few hours until it dries completely.
Step 9
Take a vase and blow off the groats from the gaps between the glue lines. Cover the ornament with several coats of spray varnish. Apply each layer of varnish after the previous layer has dried. Rhinestones can be glued to the finished vase.
