Influence
More than one volume has been written about how the Beatles influenced the politics, economy, morality and culture of mankind. The collective became the ancestor of many directions in rock music. If at the initial stage of its existence the group was under the noticeable influence of rock and roll, then since 1965 in the songs of the Beatles one can hear revolutionary calls to politicians and the population. The Beatles themselves claimed that their music changed thanks to the work of Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys and other famous artists.
How did it all start?
Back in 1957, Paul McCartney met John Lennon, who was an ardent supporter of rock and roll and was the leader of the Quarrymen. A year later, the young team was replenished with two more members - Harrison and Sutcliffe. For a long time, the famous four could not find an approach to each other, but in the end they came to the conclusion that it was necessary to remain one and act. For a couple of years of its activity, the collective has changed several names, being either Johnny And The Moondogs, or Silver Beetles. The young group made the final decision on this in 1960. The Beatles changed their line-up more than once, only three guitarists remained unchanged. So in the summer of 1960 a new drummer joined the band - Pete Best.
Peak of popularity
In 1961, The Beatles recorded their first song with British rock guitarist and singer Tony Sheridan. Surprisingly, the first entry was published only after the breakup of the group, so this material cannot be called popular. At that time, the group had no personal sound, no stage image, no general idea of how to achieve fame.
Once the manager of the record store Brian Epstein, seeing the performance of the band, became interested in the Beatles. He helped arrange an audition for the band at Decca Records, but to no avail as the label refused to collaborate with the musicians. But in May 1962, George Martin signed a contract and made the right decision about the talent of the young guys. The team recorded several songs that topped all the famous charts. The debut album "Please Please Me", recorded in 24 hours, became a cult in the history of rock and roll, making The Beatles the most famous British band. Very soon the band recorded their next album, which brought them even more popularity. The youth of the 60s rejoiced at every appearance of the famous four in public, which is why critics introduced a new concept of "Beatlemania" associated with the massive obsession with the music of the Beatles.
Experiments and group breakup
After recording the next album, the group became an evolutionary in the genre of pop music. In 1967, the Beatles began to decline. First, the group's manager, Brian Epstein, dies from an overdose of drugs, then a rivalry for leadership began in the group. In the beginning, John and Paul wrote songs on their own, later the struggle began between George and Ringo. Lennon began to spend more time with his beloved Yoko Ono, which led to a conflict between all the participants. In 1968, the group barely coped with financial problems. As a result, since 1969, the group broke up, and each of its members came up with their own project on the side. Despite the breakup of the band, the Beatles remain a legendary group to this day.
