Jeans were invented by Levi Strauss as durable workwear for gold diggers. Since then, these wonderful pants have become comfortable everyday wear, decorated with embroidery, rivets, rhinestones and hand-painted.
It is necessary
- - jeans;
- - sketch of the drawing;
- - copy paper for fabric;
- - fabric marker;
- - contour;
- - acrylic paints;
- - brushes;
- - foam sponge;
- - iron.
Instructions
Step 1
Before you paint your jeans at home, come up with a drawing. Then sketch it on paper, attach it to jeans and transfer to fabric using special copy paper for transferring the image to the material. If the outline of the design is not clear, trace around it with a fabric marker. Don't worry, all the lines will disappear afterwards.
Step 2
Get acrylics and outline. Choose special fabric dyes. You can buy them in art stores or online stores. You may also need a thinner for acrylic paints, although many of them dilute perfectly with water. Prepare brushes and a foam sponge.
Step 3
Place your jeans on a smooth, flat surface, floor, or table that has been covered with paper so as not to stain as you work. Insert a piece of cardboard inside the leg. This is to ensure that the ink is not printed where it is not needed. If the fabric is wrinkled, iron it with an iron, as the painting surface should be smooth.
Step 4
Circle the lines of the drawing with a special outline, if, according to your idea, the colors should not be mixed. Let the paint dry.
Step 5
Then fill the surface with acrylic paints. Paint small details with brushes, and paint over large surfaces with a foam sponge using tampon movements, i.e. apply the sponge to the fabric and release it immediately.
Step 6
Let the paint dry. Apply each next layer after the previous one has completely dried. Draw small details of the picture with a thin brush. After the painting is completely ready, set the jeans aside and let the paint dry for about two days.
Step 7
Secure the image. Press the iron on the wrong side of the fabric for a couple of minutes.
