High-quality denim is very dense, strong, practical, so even very worn-out jeans can always be converted into something useful and beautiful.
For the home, you can do a lot of useful things very simply and quickly. You might find the following ideas helpful:
"Seat" or cover for a chair or stool
It is much more comfortable to sit on a hard chair with a special flat cushion underneath. It needs to be sewn from thick fabric, so jeans are perfect for this craft. The simplest "seat" is a square cover, inside of which a piece of foam rubber is inserted of the appropriate size (batting and other insulation for outerwear are also suitable).
If you only use upholstered furniture in your home, sew chair and stool covers from old jeans to clean the upholstery less often.
Upholstery for chair, armchair, sofa
If a trouble occurs and the upholstery of an upholstered chair, armchair, stool, sofa is torn, it can be replaced by stitching a new one from denim. The work associated with the manufacture of new upholstery for a sofa or armchair is quite difficult, but almost any home craftsman can handle changing the fabric on a chair or stool.
Helpful advice. You can make a soft stool from a hard stool by making an upholstery and placing a piece of foam rubber under it (the size of the foam rubber sheet should be no less than the stool seat).
Mat
A rug from old jeans is a very popular craft and there are a lot of technologies for its manufacture. The simplest rug will turn out if you cut old jeans into identical squares or rectangles, and sew them into a large canvas. Also, a denim rug can be woven or knitted.
Bed for a cat or other pet
Since denim is a fairly dense fabric, it is perfect for sewing a bed for a cat or dog.
Sofa cushions
Old jeans, a denim skirt or jacket will make a comfortable and very practical cushion. Small or large, it will add convenience to you or your guests, make the interior more extraordinary and informal.
Wall organizer
Even one pair of jeans can be used to make a convenient wall organizer that will help you keep all the little things that are usually scattered around the house in order. To sew such an organizer, use those parts of the jeans that already have pockets, if the craft should be larger, cut out the required number of pockets yourself (from the legs).
