If the child is to be at the carnival in a mermaid costume, and the mother knows how to sew, then she can easily cope with the task, but the most difficult thing in such a costume is the tail. It must be designed so that it does not constrain the step and is comfortable and light. Therefore, it is unreasonable to tightly narrow the skirt and sew fins to it and, perhaps, will only be suitable for a photo shoot.
Instructions
Step 1
So that the legs do not get tangled in this tail and the child can move freely, sew it in the following way.
Step 2
Sew the skirt first. The skirt should be straight, and it is better to insert a wedge into the back seam, which will provide freedom of movement.
Step 3
Put on a skirt, attach a tail to the wedge.
The tail is made of foam rubber, preferably thinner. Then upholstered with fabric.
Step 4
In this case, the tail should not touch the floor, otherwise the child will simply step on it.
It is best to use green, blue-green or swamp-colored fabric for a suit; you can wear a beautiful fishnet on the tail.
Step 5
Also, to decorate the tail, various beads are used that imitate scales.
The main thing is not to swim far in such a suit.
